About Us

Pumpkin

Pumpkin specialises in producing high quality educational DVD resource banks for students aged 14-18. Since the company was set up in 1998, we have been commissioned to make several series for Channel 4 Learning and currently have over 50 titles in our library.

All our programmes are made in house by our small but dedicated team. We specialise in producing Design and Technology, Textiles, Geography and Drama and Performance resources and in recent years our titles have won a number of awards.

We work closely with awarding bodies, subject associations and leading text book authors to ensure that all our content is not only of the very highest quality but is also directly relevant to the needs of teachers and students.

Pumpkin titles are sold to schools and colleges in the UK and around the world through our network of international distributors.

Please contact kate@pumpkin-interactive.co.uk if you need to know where to get hold of any of our resources, or if you’d like to become a distributor.

The Team

Grant Davies

Grant graduated from Durham University with a degree in Anthropology. He then went on to train as a visual anthropologist/documentary cameraman at the Granada Centre in Manchester.

He then gained a much sought after BBC internship which led to work as a producer for the BBC on Breakfast TV and the the 6 O’Clock News. A stint at ITN followed where he worked on the launch team for Channel 5 before setting up Pumpkin TV in 1998.

He now acts as the creative director on all Pumpkin's projects. He also films and edits all our titles.

Kate Conway

After graduating with a geography degree from Durham University, Kate trained as a BBC journalist and then spent the next ten years working with national Radio and Television as a reporter, producer, editor and newsreader.

After setting up the company in 1998 with Grant, Kate took on the role of overseeing the research and production of all Pumpkin's educational resources. She also manages the marketing and distribution of Pumpkin's growing library of resources.

Alexis Hobson

Alexis joined Pumpkin in 2007 and quickly made herself indispensable. She acts as office manager, while also heading up the research on an increasing number of our titles. She accompanies Grant on all Pumpkin shoot days where she acts as assistant producer, sound woman and interviewer.

Alyce Griffith

Alyce is the most recent member of our team and joined us in 2010. She manages the sales and distribution end of Pumpkin and works tirelessly to ensure teachers get the resources they need, when they need them.
